Adept Technology High Speed Flexible Handling Solutions Demonstrated Live
Adept Technology, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, today announced it will be showcasing the Adept Quattro s650H robot for high-speed automated packaging applications at the ProPak China 2010 event in Shanghai, China, July 14-16, 2010. The technology will be demonstrated in a high-performance, flexible small product handling system designed by the company's partner Austong Intelligent Robot Technology Co., Ltd. in their exhibit stand (booth # 1B28). Austong will be demonstrating a high-speed parts handling and packaging system utilizing the Adept Quattro s650H robot with integrated vision guidance and inspection. "China is one of the strongest and fastest growing regions in the global economy and its manufacturers are at the forefront of embracing innovative and flexible solutions," said Rush LaSelle, director of global sales and marketing for Adept Technology, Inc. "The Adept Quattro s650H brings high speed production and the inherent flexibility of robotic automation to food producers and others who require exacting levels of performance in their processes. We are proud to partner with the Austong team to demonstrate the efficiencies and benefits that high-performance automation solutions can deliver to manufacturers for packaging and material handling." "We are very excited about this opportunity to showcase Austong’s years of experience in designing and installing flexible turnkey automation solutions for the consumer products, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and dairy industries,” said Dr. Zhengde Li, president of Austong. "We are very pleased to work with Adept Technology in a strategic partnership to help Chinese and global manufacturers improve their production efficiency, quality, and consistency with high-performance systems." The Adept Quattro(TM) s650H is a parallel robot specifically designed for high-speed manufacturing, packaging, material handling, and assembly applications. It is the only robot in the world that features a four-arm rotational platform. The design delivers maximum speed, maximum acceleration, and exceptional performance across the entire work envelope. The Adept Quattro s650H further empowers companies to maximize the throughput of their production lines. Powerful compact controls and embedded amplifiers also make installation easy while reducing work cell and overall factory footprint requirements. The speed and precision of the Quattro robot combined with recently becoming USDA Accepted make it the perfect choice for a variety of applications such as raw food handling, flexible packaging, material handling, kitting, and assembly applications where performance is of paramount consideration. ProPak China 2010 is the country’s premier processing and packaging technology trade show in its 16th year. The show takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from July 14-16, 2010 and will be colocated with China BevTek 2010 and China DairyTek 2010. According to the show organizer, China International Exhibitions Ltd., China started 2010 with an astonishing 11.9% year-on-year growth in the economy for the first quarter of 2010. Consumer demand has replaced exports as the engine of growth, with Chinese consumers spending more than in the USA over the last 12 months. This new consumer-driven economy is fueling demand for foods, beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, household chemicals and other consumer products. New trends for the adoption of automation and control technology to increase efficiency and save cost will be much in evidence at the show this year. Chinese manufacturers of processing and packaging equipment have been quick to recognize the benefits of incorporating international brands of automation and control technology to their machines. Rapid economic growth in China has also come with a rise in labor costs and increased demand for efficient technology. Date of publication: 08/07/2010 |
